Bowl Predictions (by Jerry Palm of CBS):

BCS National Championship Game

Jan. 9
New Orleans, La.
BCS #1 vs. BCS #2
8:30 p.m., ESPN
Comment: LSU has a new opponent this week. It looks more and more like the stakes will be high in the Bedlam game this year. Oklahoma is projected to win and land in the No. 2 spot of the BCS. — Jerry Palm

Orange Bowl
Jan. 4
Miami, Fla.
ACC vs. at-large
8 p.m. ET, ESPN
Comment: Clemson is still projected as the ACC champion. The Bearcats loss to WVU tightened up the race in the Big East. Five teams trail Cincinnati by one game in the conference.
Sugar Bowl
Jan. 3
New Orleans, La.
SEC vs. at-large
8:30 p.m. ET, ESPN
Comment: Houston or Cincinnati? Case Keenum and the Cougar offense gets to see how it operates against an SEC defense.

Fiesta Bowl
Jan. 2
Glendale, Ariz.
Big 12 vs. at-large
8:30 p.m. ET, ESPN
Comment: Have I finally given up on Michigan? No, I still expect the Wolverines to finish 10-2 and be eligible, but I think the allure of Andrew Luck will trump the massive UM fan base. No other BCS bowl would make this choice.
Rose Bowl
Jan. 2
Pasadena, Calif.
Big Ten vs. Pac-12
5 p.m. ET, ESPN
Comment: Same as last week, except this time, Oregon isn’t a substitute for Stanford. The Ducks are now projected as the Pac-12 champion.
